Hello and
welcome to my little
corner of the universe!| Thank
you for stopping by and I hope you enjoy your stay. It is
not my intention to have a site with all the stops, whistles and
flashing signs, but
rather a simple, readable and navigable site that you can
peruse at your leisure. You will gain an insight
into some of my hobbies - namely Miniatures and my Family Tree. Before getting into miniatures, I made porcelain dolls - mainly the French Fashion dolls - cleaning soft fired greenware, painting the faces, assembling the bodies and dressing the dolls. I was introduced to the hobby of Miniatures by two very close friends from Toronto - Samm and her dad Gerry. I am currently working on a Room Box done in the Edwardian style - it is an ongoing project. My goal is to hand make as many of the furnishings as possible - using kits and taking workshops. I will share with you some of my past and current projects with photos and commentary. I have included links to some of my favourite artists, who have been instrumental to my learning process. Also links to some of my favourite suppliers. |
| In 1968 I
became fascinated about my family origins.
I
started compiling the Mac Pherson Family Tree and over a period of
10-12 years, documented and put together the branch of our
tree
which, of course, had its beginnings in Scotland. During this
period I was in touch with many members of the family and gained a good
insight into our background. A Family Tree is not a 'one
person'
undertaking. If it wasn't for other members of the
family,
resources like the Archives, Genealogical institutions etc., it would
have been a difficult thing to accomplish. I will include a
basic outline of the tree along with some photos. If you feel
you
might have a 'link' to any part of the tree or wish to share
information, please email me. Do check back periodically for updates to this site and don't forget to sign the GUESTBOOK! |
